A connection to the building’s technology and integrated automation is expressed through rounded edges that draw reference from minimalist product design.
Situated in one of Melbourne’s greater established inner suburbs, our Elwood project comprises of a selection of twelve 1, 2, & 3 bedroom apartments. Stylistically, our inspiration draws from the suburbs proximity to the beach. Through the use of light washed timber screening and sand coloured brick we have created an aesthetic that exudes a laidback beachside apartment living.
Construction has begun on this fire damaged weatherboard cottage, bringing it a new lease on life. Contrasting dark metal cladding separates the new ground and first floor extensions from the restored weatherboard façade. Inside, high volumes and large format glazing deliver a bright open plan living to the ground floor and the bedrooms above.
Located less than a kilometre away from the beach and golf courses these two luxury townhouses have a strong focus on materials. Contrasted charcoal metal cladding with clean white and natural concrete, gives each townhouse their own unique character strengthened through a shared style. Split levels separate the front and rear of each townhouse, offering greater ceiling heights and privacy to the living areas.
Excited to see the scaffold down and residents moving in! Belle Balwyn is a 5 level boutique apartment building located in the expanding shopping precinct opposite the Balwyn Cinemas. It contains 16 contemporary two and three bedroom apartments, basement parking and a ground floor food premises. It’s with great pleasure that we would like to welcome Sophie Russell to our team at Chandler Architecture. Sophie graduated from RMIT University with a Master of Architecture with Distinction in 2013. She has studied at RMIT in Melbourne and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, School of Architecture, in Copenhagen. Sophie has worked across a broad range of scales and briefs including; residential, multi-residential, aged care and education. She is passionate about architecture and appreciates the challenges working at various scales and resolving the hurdles that are unique to each project.
