ST KEVIN’S COLLEGE GLENDALOUGH CAMPUS

This new multi-purpose learning building has completely transformed the entrance to the St Kevin’s College Glendalough campus by embracing streetscape opportunities and developing a new and inviting pedestrian entry that sensibly flows into a new reception hub with direct access to the leadership team, lift and playground; then continues into a series of varied teaching spaces. Special consideration has been made to ensure the new learning spaces are seamlessly connected to the existing internal corridors delivering improved efficiencies to the daily staff and student flows.

ST KEVIN’S COLLEGE LIBRARY

A striking new library for the students at St Kevin’s College in Toorak. This project embraces a modern approach to learning characterised by a variety of student-centric spaces. A mix of collaborative learning desks, ottoman seating, reading nooks and private study rooms have all been incorporated into the design providing students with multiple study environment options.

SIMONDS CATHOLIC COLLEGE – STAGE 2

Stage Two of the Simonds Catholic College masterplan sees another exciting multi-purpose building proposal presenting an impressive full gymnasium with grandstand, rooftop library, school canteen, staff & admin area, and multiple general learning spaces. Designed to maximise the small site, the building has been designed so that each zone performs optimally and circulation throughout spaces are logical and seamless.

SIMONDS CATHOLIC COLLEGE – STAGE 1

This new multi-purpose learning building is the first stage of the Simonds Catholic Collage masterplan and sets new a standard in education design. Responding to current 21st century best practise and pedagogy the building consists of mixed-type, flexible teaching spaces. A new state of the art fabrication workshop zone spans the lower level, with home rooms above organised by year levels, that open into a central atrium breakout space prompting engaging collaborative learning amongst students.

MERRICKS HOUSE

In the heart of Victorias’ most desirable Mornington Peninsula, this beautifully crafted holiday home sits hilltop with sweeping uninterrupted views across the scenic Peninsula landscape. With a brief to create a homely countryside escape, the design features a selection of warm timbers and textures to achieve a comforting warmth. Accompanied by large full-height windows throughout, the design embraces a lightness as it welcomes the fresh coastal ocean breeze.

MOUNT BULLER PENTHOUSE

Boasting 360-degree panoramic views overlooking the Victorian High Country, this exquisitely designed luxury penthouse is nothing less than spectacular. With 6 separate bedrooms, this penthouse can accommodate up to 20 people. A feature timber ceiling throughout the communal living areas creates a cosy warmth that is intensified by its pairing with dark textured panelling and a feature marble stone. Finishes are simple, yet elegant and perfectly frame each window highlighting each breath-taking view.

We are excited to welcome Jonathan Mills as the latest member to join our team at Chandler Architecture. Jonathan brings enthusiasm and a personal approach to his projects.  He is a registered architect with a unique breadth of experience and a passion for residential architecture which ranges from creative inner-city dwellings to working alongside government and traditional owners on remote housing.  Jonathan also has experience working on ADF capital work projects and urban design projects in Alice Springs. We are thrilled to have you here and with your diverse experience, look forward to hearing all your ideas.

SHORT LISTED FOR NEW CITY OF GREATER GEELONG HEADQUARTERS

We are pleased to announce that Chandler Architecture, in partnership with Grimshaw Architects, have been shortlisted for the final phase of CoGG’s design competition. Our team shall now work in collaboration with the City of Greater Geelong to deliver their new HQ, servicing both the council and their constituents as the community shifts from an industrial based regional centre to a serviced based city.
